Dermal Filler
Restylane, Versa
Dermal fillers are medical-grade hyaluronic acid (HA) gels used to restore volume, enhance facial features, and smooth lines caused by aging or volume loss. At Refresh Med Spa, we carry the full Restylane® portfolio including Restylane-L, Kysse, Lyft, Refyne, Defyne, Eyelight, and Contour, as well as Revanesse Versa®. How it works
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring molecule found in the skin that attracts and binds water, helping maintain hydration, structure, and elasticity. When injected as a dermal filler, HA integrates into the tissue to instantly restore volume, enhance contour, and support the surrounding collagen network. Over time, the HA gel is gradually and safely metabolized by the body, maintaining soft, natural-looking results throughout its lifespan.

How long do filler appointments take?
-
Filler appointments are booked for one hour to allow time for consultation to discuss your goals, numbing, and actual injection time. A topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area for 15–30 minutes before your injection. Actual injection time typically takes 5–12 minutes depending on the area(s) being treated.
What to expect during and after dermal filler?
-
Most patients rate the pain during a filler treatment at about a 2–5/10 depending on the area treated. After the filler treatment, you will be given an ice pack and aftercare instructions! Expect some swelling immediately after your filler injection.
-
When will I see results from my filler?
-
Dermal fillers provide instant results, with improved volume and contour immediately after treatment. Final results refine as swelling decreases and the filler settles and integrates with your tissue.
How long does the healing process for filler take?
-
First 24–72 hours: Swelling, tenderness, and bruising can occur and begin to improve within a few days.
-
1–4 weeks after injection: Full settling and integration of filler can take up to 4 weeks.
When should I follow-up after my filler appointment?
-
Please reach out with any questions or concerns, we are here for you!
-
Appointments for additional filler or before/after photos should be scheduled no sooner than 4 weeks after initial injection to allow for full integration.
How long do dermal fillers last?
